Hampstead Health Family Practice now offers a Pre-Employment Medical Assessment  for all businesses requiring this service. All testing is conducted on the premises including drug and alcohol screening.

There is free 2 hour parking available as well as free wifi within the practice for your prospective staff to take advantage of while they wait for their appointment.

Services

Our pre-employment medical examination generally includes the following components:

  • Accredited onsite drug and alcohol screening provided by Australian Clinical Labs.
  • All screening tests screen for drug classes prescribed in both AS4760 and AS4308
  • Height, weight, body mass index (BMI)
  • Cardiovascular check (BP, heart, pulse check)
  • Musculoskeletal examination including range of movement
  • Examination for hernias and abdominal abnormalities
  • Urinalysis for diabetes, kidney and bladder disorders
  • Central Nervous System examination
  • Vision assessment including colour blindness
  • Respiratory examination

Other specific pre-employment medical examination requirements may include:

  • Audiometry
  • Spirometry
  • Drug & alcohol screening (instant or laboratory)
  • Work fitness assessments/functional capacity evaluations
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG)

Other on-site services include Pathology, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiologist, Podiatry, Psychology.

Tomoko Ueno     GCPH., B.NutriDiet, APD

Tomoko has studied a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Flinders University and is a professional member of the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) and an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD).

Tomoko has consulted people with a broad range of medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular, liver, lung and kidney diseases and weight-related issues.

She regularly attends professional development activities to update her nutritional knowledge and practical skills.
